LTFRB-12 reopens free ride program for medical front-liners

KORONADAL City – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Soccsksargen (LTFRB-12) has announced the resumption of their services contracting method identified as “Libreng Sakay” for professional medical health personnel, amid some others.
LTFRB-12 Director Paterno Reynato Padua mentioned Wednesday the “Libreng Sakay” began in chosen routes that do not want justification in their assistance deal.
“Libreng Sakay is provided by public utility vehicles (PUV), bus, community passenger vans, modernized community utility jeeps (PUJs), conventional PUJs, and tourist transportations,” Padua claimed.
He said the greatest beneficiary of the software are the licensed folks outdoors people and the wellbeing care workers.
“Non-APORs can also avail of the program if they can existing a health-related certification or any doc to prove that their journey is essential,” Padua said.
For the Soccsksargen area, the nationwide governing administration has allotted PHP280 million for the resumption of the “Libreng Sakay” plan.
“Our initial approach is we have to apply it for 60 times,” Padua said, even as he assured that overall health and safety protocols are strictly observed in their cost-free transportation system.
